The future of the web

If you’re involved in any aspect of setting your company’s online strategy, I would strongly recommend reading Pull (a newish book).


Although in parts it is written very poorly, the ideas in here a well worth thinking about. Essentially, the author makes a case for stitching together intelligent pieces of data (automatically) to improve productivity, remove the mundane parts of our lives. The underlying ideas have been around for a while now; to the author’s credit, he does a good job of thinking of interesting new ideas.

There are too many companies that I see launching their new online strategy with ideas that are firmly rooted 10 years ago. This should be required reading for all leaders at companies involved in setting their online strategies.
