Hack: How to make reading on the web suck less

Like most consultants, I spend an inordinate amount of time reading, including on laptops (yes, they still exist). Unfortunately, reading even the most basic article on the web involves blocking out the 40 different ads/banners/gizmos put there to torture you (unless you’re reading something nice like the Economist, FT etc).

Mercifully, there’s a little hack from the guys at ‘Readability‘ that allows one to change a page that looks a cross between the New York Post and the Enquirer into just the words (what a concept).

Well worth the trouble of going to the site and dragging the ‘bookmarklet’ to your favorites folder/bar.
