Apple car rumors bring out the fighting side of car makers

I love this quote (reported in the New York times) from the CEO of Daimler about Apple at the recent Frankfurt auto show.

We do not plan to become the Foxconn of Apple

It’s amazing how much fear Apple and Google create, with perhaps good reason: Apple is worth eight times the total value of Daimler; Google is worth five times as much.
