WFH Infrastructure — the Toilet Paper of IT Spending

Who really benefits (at least in the short term) in enterprise tech from Covid-19? William Blair (“Enterprise Tracker, April 9, 2020”) has taken a cut. Summary: It’s the players that are the equivalent of toilet paper in the house – Microsoft, Citrix, VMware top the list.

Several other tidbits in that report. One that caught my eye: “we heard about seven-figure VDI deals closing in less than a week and VMware sales reps hitting well above their quotas for Workspace ONE and Airwatch (with one VAR saying his VMware rep was at 700% of quota on Airwatch in the first quarter).”
