Another book to avoid

I’m usually a fan of Cal Newport’s books & articles, but his latest one is awful. The concept is fine — do less, slow down, and focus on quality. But the anecdotes and examples to support those claims seemed weak, strained & boring. Definitely one to skip.

CEO secrets

A public service announcement: If you have a desire to read the CEO secrets book that was just published because it seems like it may be useful, please don’t. I tried to read it and gave up after about 10 min. There was in fact a chapter on BCG, but even the few pages there were riddled with errors and cliches. One for the dumpster.
